Additives for coating and adhesives

PERMAKEM AS can offer foam control agents including water- and oil-soluble and VOC-free products. The defoamers are based on proprietary blends of either vegetable oils, siloxane or silicone. The offered range of defoamers can be used in many applications, for example: VOC-free emulsion systems based on PVAC and acrylics, emulsion paints, metal working fluids, cleaners, and water-based systems. PERMAKEM AS have defoamers for both water based and solvent based systems.

PERMAKEM AS can offer wetting and leveling agents that are biodegradable for water-based applications. These wetting and levelling agents offer a decrease in static and dynamic surface tensions. Some have FDA compliance for direct and indirect food contact.

PERMAKEM AS can offer dispersants which consist of wetting and dispersing additives for all types of pigments and fillers. The various products are biodegradable to various degree. Most of the dispersants are VOC free and contain different percentage of active components. We have products that can be used in water- and solvent-based systems, resin-free systems and UV systems.

PERMAKEM AS corrosion inhibitor range includes anti-corrosive additives for aluminium, copper, magnesium, brass, and ferrous surfaces. The product range can be applied in water-based and solvent-based systems, depending on the type of corrosion inhibitor. All products have a high degree of biodegradability.

PERMAKEM AS have cost-effective neutralization and co-dispersing agents for interior/exterior coatings, lacquers, adhesives, and inks. The products consist of mixtures of amino alcohols in water. Amines provides stability and pH buffers the coatings. PERMAKEM AS have products that are in compliance with FDA regulations for direct and indirect food contact.

PERMAKEM AS can offer coalescing- or film forming agents used in water-based coatings to decrease the minimum film forming temperature (MFFT) of polymer dispersions. PERMAKEM AS can offer different types of coalescing agents such as the conventional non-VOC coalescing agent which consist of a proprietary mixture of branched esters of dibasic acids. PERMAKEM AS also offers polymeric coalescing agent consisting of a polymeric composition and amphoteric components emulsified in water. The coalescing agent is used in water-based coatings, floor lacquers, coatings for concrete surfaces and other coatings where high performance is needed. The products are VOC or SVOC free.
